The Archbishop’s Dinner has become a way for the faithful of the Archdiocese of Vancouver to gather and to hear updates from our Archbishop on the activities of the past year and where we are headed in the coming year.
The Beneficiary
This year's Archbishop's Dinner will fund the Clergy Care Fund in the Archdiocese of Vancouver.
Why Now?
Retired priests have dedicated
their lives to selflessly serving our
communities and nurturing our
faith. They have been beacons of
guidance and pillars of strength,
providing spiritual solace and
support to countless individuals.
However, as they enter their golden
years, many of these esteemed
clergy face unique challenges.
Limited resources and the increasing
need for personal care make it
crucial for us to rally together
and extend our support. Let us
recognize their sacrifices and stand
united to ensure they receive the
care and assistance they need in
this new chapter of their lives.
The Need
The retirement years can be difficult for our senior priests. No longer receiving the direct support of a parish community, they depend on the kindness of initiatives like this to support extraordinary medical expenses and living arrangements. The “Caring for Our Clergy” fund is dedicated to ensuring our retired priests have the necessary resources to lead healthy, active lives in our communities, particularly in the face of rising costs that have made their situation more pressing than ever.
